For several years now, Burlington and the United Methodist Foundation have been working and planning together to better respond to those donors who are seeking to make a planned gift intended to support the United Methodist Church-related institutional children’s ministries in West Virginia and Garrett County, Maryland. The United Methodist Foundation currently administers 43 trusts through which donors have designated Burlington (such as Burlington Children’s Home, Beckley Child Care Center,  and U M Child Placement Services) as a beneficiary.

Burlington continues as well in its own fund raising efforts focused on raising cash donations in support of our day-to-day ministry, and planned gifts to help grow Burlington’s Endowment Fund intended to provide long-term perpetual support.

We at Burlington what our constituents to know that it is OK to make planned gifts (bequests, trusts, life insurance, life income gifts, etc.) either directly with Burlington or through the United Methodist Foundation. The competent staffs of both the Foundation and Burlington are eager to work with interested donors either as a team or independently as the donor may desire.

The ultimate beneficiaries are those infants, children, youth, and families who are served by the United Methodist Church’s connectional ministries through Burlington. Please pray for our ministries and all those who are served in Jesus’ name.
